This engraving number16 reproduces the façade of one of theses houses in Provins which end the Paris street.
They date from the second half of the 13th century. The living room and bedrooms are located on the first floor.
On the ground floor there are the stock and the kitchen. Each room get a very high ceiling: the life
in this kind of house looks very simple but large.
