At feet of monuments, you will find a quiet and charming place: a rose garden covering 3,5 hectares.

In a bucolic atmosphere, you will learn about the story of this emblematic flower, its colors, shapes, scents, and its virtues.

New:
- presentation in preview of last creations of roses.
- guided visit and tasting of rose specialities on request.

You will know everything there is about old roses - Rosa Gallica, Rosa Damascena, Rosa Alba, Rosa Centifolia, hybrid tea roses - and modern roses which flower until autumn.

You will start the visit by one of the town's strongest symbols. The "Rosa Gallica Officinalis", also called "Rose of Provins" has been brought back from crusades by Count Thibaud IV of Champagne.
This ancestor of all our present-day varieties was formerly renowned for its medicinal properties.

A place is specially reserved to the red rose trees along the Durteint River.

Every year, new scented rose trees are planted.

The garden of "Simples" will introduce you to various medieval plants with medicinal properties like Dill, Angelica, Comfrey...

Tearoom with terrace, shop and sale of roses bushes, exhibition room (free access) and music concerts.

From 31 March to 30 April 2012: weekends, public holidays and daily during French school holidays (zones B & C), from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
From 1 May to 2 September: daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
From 3 September to 7 November: daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
From 8 November to 31 December: weekends and daily during French school holidays (zones B & C), from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Cut-prices with the Pass Cards (Pass Provins, Pass'Murailles or Pass Famille): 5,50 €

Annual ticket: 18 €.
Free for visitors 12 years of age and under.
